Sai settled in well before helping Carlos give many in the crowd their first glimpse of how a true partnership can work, even under the incredible pressure of doing a demonstration in strange, chaotic surrounds.

Sai, being Sai, continued to make all kinds of new friends, large and small, in between doing a stellar job with Carlos in explaining how to work with your horse through the eyes of your horse. Every demo was different, presenting a range of opportunities for the ever-increasing crowds to see and learn how they might apply Carlos’ approach with their own horses. Don’t worry – Sai had his say! By the end of day two, he was beginning to show obvious signs of being over it!

Over the three days, there was a buzz, with people talking about what Carlos was doing, in the amazing demos through which Sai and Carlos were able to bring a greater understanding and appreciation to those watching about what real, good horsemanship through the eyes of the horse is all about. The crowd got a start, when Carlos improvised by shooting off a pair of cap guns from behind Sai’s tail, and gasped as he revved up the chainsaw and offered make a ‘quarter horse’. It was a great introduction to all the things that you’ve become familiar with, if you’ve worked with Carlos. And, as you might expect, there were lots of questions for which Carlos was able to provide meaningful answers.

Sunday was reserved for spending a bit more time with those who sponsor Carlos, such as Nobit Bridles, Horsewyse Magazine, Rydair, and Dr Cook’s The Bitless Bridle. It was also a great opportunity for those who had not yet had a chance to talk with Carlos to do so, often walking away with a copy of his book and DVD to learn as much as they could. And, as you can see, fans are getting younger, which is great news for the horses, as they will be able to start their relationships off on the right hoof!
